Ever get e-mails with everyone's brother's-cousin's-neighbor's-best friend's-mother's uncle's e-mail addresses showing at the top before you can get to the actual part your friend wanted to send?  Then you like it and want to send it to your buddies, but hate having to pass on all those addresses and clutter?  You need to learn how to "CUT" those unwanted parts out!  Once you learn how to "cut", then "copy" and "paste" are just as simple!

To Cut (or Copy)

Left-button click at the beginning (or end) of what you wish to cut (or copy), and continue to hold the button down.

Drag the cursor over the text you wish to cut (or copy) until all you want is highlighted.

You can now either-

-go to the top of the window and click "Edit" then "Cut" (or "Copy")  -or-
-if shown you can click on the little pair of scissors icon to cut (or the two pages next to that for copy) -or-

-right-button click and choose "Cut" (or "Copy")!

If you now wish to Paste...

Left click to place the cursor (that's the blinky-line thing when you type) where you want to insert the text you copied.

You can now either-

-go to the top of the window and click "Edit" then "Paste" -or-

-if shown you can click on the little "clipboard" or "jar of paste" icon -or-

-right-button click and choose "Paste"

That's it!  A good thing to know that will save you lots of time and typing!
